SOCCER EDUCATION
We provide tailor-made education for talented and dedicated sports-focused high school students. Modern-day youth sport demands an extensive competitive and practice schedule, which is not catered for in traditional schooling.
GAFA enables players to take their football to the next level, through professional training in an environment modelled on the leading football academies in Europe. We develop talented and hard-working players and create local and international pathway opportunities for them to fulfil their footballing ambitions through our network of coaches and partner academies.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (U14-U19)
If you’re serious about a playing career in football, then this full-time program is for you. The program combines professional football training and athletic development, with quality high school education and an emphasis on character development. The goal is to develop well-rounded young people for success on the football pitch and in life.
All of this is presented in a structured and disciplined environment by professional staff, enabling the players to reach their full potential. The Youth Development Program is open for grade 8 to grade 12 and is guaranteed to take your game to the next level and beyond.
All activities take place at GAFA. The players attend the study Centre in the mornings, and in the afternoons experience a football program which includes football training, athletic development, tactical learning, football theory, mental training, sports science testing, life skills, media training and more.
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (U8-U13)
The GAFA Junior Development Program for U8-U13 provides the opportunity for young aspiring footballers to experience a professional training environment modelled on the leading football academies in Europe. The age-specific program combines football training and athletic development to develop well-rounded young people for long-term success in life and on the football pitch. Training involves 3 weekday afternoon sessions and teams will play weekend fixtures during the annual football season. The program takes place at the exclusive GAFA Football Campus, providing a unique football environment all in one place.
GOALKEEPING ACADEMY
Professional goalkeeping coaching is available at GAFA.
INTERNATIONAL SOCCER CAMPS
Join us for one of our International Soccer Camps, where we bring coaches from European teams out to South Africa. Participants enjoy an amazing experience of high-performance training with European academy coaches. Talented players have been invited to trial in Europe after being identified at our camps.
GIRLS FOOTBALL PROGRAM (FULL-TIME)
Our girl’s program is providing a full-time high performance football academy with high school education, to promote the growth of girls’ football and to prepare the nation’s most promising young players for international careers.
GAFA provides the high school education component of the program through the GAFA Study Centre. The modern and flexible education method used in the GAFA Study Centre allows far more time for soccer training and competitive play than traditional schooling methods.
